Lifting Logs (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Lifting Logs mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
To use Lifting Logs, users must create an account.
When you register, we collect:
Email address (including Apple relay email addresses if “Hide My Email” is selected)
Display name
Unique user ID (UID)
Authentication provider (Apple, Google, or email/password)
Account creation date
Subscription tier status
Authentication is powered by Supabase.
We do not collect profile photos.
B. Workout & Performance Data
Workout and fitness data you enter (including exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, notes, and performance metrics):
Is stored locally on your device using SwiftData
May be synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit
We do not store workout data on our servers.
Workout data stored in iCloud is encrypted and governed by Apple’s privacy policies.
C. Subscription & Payment Information
Lifting Logs offers subscription-based features purchased through Apple’s App Store.
All payments are processed directly by Apple. Apple acts as the merchant of record.
We do not collect, process, or store:
Credit card numbers
Billing addresses
Payment details
Financial account information
To verify subscription status, the App may securely transmit App Store receipt data to our backend infrastructure (via Supabase Edge Functions) for server-side validation.
This receipt validation process:
Does not provide us access to payment details
Is used solely to confirm active subscription status
Determines entitlement tiers
Restores previous purchases, including legacy one-time purchase users
Payment processing and receipt issuance are governed by Apple’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
D. Feedback & Support
If you submit feedback, bug reports, or feature requests, we may store:
Your email address
Your user ID
The content of your message
This information is used solely to respond to you and improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
Create and manage user accounts
Authenticate users securely
Validate subscriptions
Restore prior purchases
Respond to support requests
Improve app performance and reliability
Maintain system security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following providers:
Supabase
Used for authentication and limited account metadata storage.
Protected by encrypted connections and Role-Level Security (RLS).
Apple
Used for:
Subscription payment processing
App Store distribution
iCloud (CloudKit) syncing
We are not responsible for Apple’s data handling practices.
4. Security
We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including:
HTTPS encryption
Secure authentication flows
Role-Level Security policies
Minimal data collection
However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain account metadata (email, display name, UID, subscription tier, and provider type) while your account remains active.
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting: contact@swartssoftware.com
Upon verified request, we will delete your account metadata from our backend systems within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.
Workout data stored locally or in your personal iCloud account must be deleted through your device or Apple account settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
Lifting Logs is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. International Users
Your account metadata may be processed in jurisdictions where our service providers operate, including the United States.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
